Pakarang Cape, just 15 minutes North of La On (Khao Lak Center), is a beautiful and fascinating place. One of the main attractions of the cape is the abundance of bleached coral at the tip of the cape, which serves as a stark reminder of the impact of climate change on our oceans. Pakarang Cape’s stunning south beach

On the south side of Pakarang Cape, visitors will find a stunning, and very quiet, white sandy beach, perfect for sunbathing, and swimming. Visitors can also enjoy a leisurely stroll along the beach, taking in the serene atmosphere and stunning views.

Fishing boats and locals

One of the unique features of Pakarang Cape is the presence of Thai fishing boats along the shore. These traditional wooden boats add to the charm of the area and are an important part of the local fishing industry. Visitors can observe the fishermen going about their daily routines and may even have the opportunity to purchase fresh seafood from them.

At the tip of the Pakarang Cape, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of both the bay of White Sand Beach to the north and the popular surfing spot at Memory Beach to the south. The view is simply breathtaking and is not to be missed.

Restaurants in the area

It’s worth noting that the slightly remote location of Pakarang Cape also means that there are almost no restaurants or food vendors in the immediate area. There is one restaurant “Pa Dee” at the entrance of the cape.

If visitors are in the mood, they can take a leisurely 15-minute walk, or a 5-minute drive, south towards Pakarang Beach where they will find a few restaurants and cafes. These establishments offer a variety of Thai and international cuisine and are a great option for those who prefer not to bring their own food. Whether you’re looking for a quick snack or a full meal, the restaurants in the area have something to suit all tastes and budgets.
